EA defends Ultimate Team market changes

Conversely, there are players that were purchased for a great deal before the cap was introduced that now cannot be sold even at their minimum, because the minimum is a stark amount of coins – fifa coins that players don’t have, because they can no longer ship their players without the ease of open-bid auctions.

Sometimes developers make changes that fans think, “Thank God, I’ve been waiting months for that.” And then there are times when a developer makes a change that causes you to have an aneurysm, with a bleeding nose not unlike a classic Japanese anime.

EA’s currently stuck between both extremes, with users delighted – but mostly angered – by their recent change to alter the transfer market within FIFA 15‘s Ultimate Team mode.

“We want to keep the game fair and secure for everyone, and ensure a level playing field for all [FIFA Ultimate Team] fans,” EA wrote in a blog post explaining the changes. “To accomplish this we have to root out the activities of coin farmers and cheaters who are harming your experience with the game.”

“These exploiters generate coins illegitimately in the FUT economy through the use of bots and phishing scams, creating a flood of fraudulent in-game currency and driving up the cost of players on the Transfer Market,” the developer added.

Sounds all well and good in theory, but as is often the case, things are trickier than they seem. For instance, gold cards featuring Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge were available for a mere 16,000 coins, while the minimum Sturridge sells for now is 150,000 coins.

The Guardian has gone to the trouble of asking a few YouTubers, dedicated to the FUT cause, their opinion. It’s well worth the longer read, although it should be noted that the intricacies of FUT, and the market in particular, are not as simple as some of you might be imagining.

FIFA 15 Share The Week 28 – You can see the new TOTW

This article has been updated with further details on Team of the Week 28, the players, and also what looks like a fix for earlier server problems.

Original article: The FIFA 15 servers just went down today right at the moment EA Sports delivered the TOTW for March 25. Players are reporting EA server problems right now with the most popular football game on PS4, Xbox One, and older consoles, even though no official statement has been released at the time of writing.

If you checked to see if EA’s servers are down today, then you would notice the Ultimate Team server status isn’t looking too good. Reports have arrived on the likes of website DownToday.co.uk, as well as Twitter with hundreds complaining about connection issues every few minutes.

One Product Reviews reader mentions, “I can’t get on my FIFA game, there was a problem with online squad”. Another states, “There must be FIFA 15 maintenance again, but after looking on official channels nothing is listed for 25th of March”. We have taken a look at the official Twitter accounts for EA and FIFA 15, although there isn’t any planned EA server maintenance, so it looks like the servers went down without any pre-planning. Chances are they will return pretty quickly, as long as this isn’t any type of DDoS.

Are you seeing EA servers down right now and if so, what games are you playing? We just tried to connect with FIFA 15, but cannot access FUT at this time. This article will be updated if EA leave a status update, so for now leave your comments and location problems are being experienced in below.

Free FUT packs on PS4, XBOX One

Good news, guys, EA Sports will release free FIFA 15 packs for FUT on PS4, Xbox One to celebrate 6 years of FIFA 15 Ultimate Team, which will help to save some FIFA 15 Coins – you can get free football players in the packages.

You heard that correctly. EA, who currently have to deal with the childish abuse on their Twitter account from entitled UK players on a daily basis has decided to give back to the community.

Until Sunday March 29, you can claim a free FIFA 15 pack on PS4 and Xbox One at 6pm UK time every day as of now. You can see a list of some players that are possible in the packs below, although this could relate to the players who are available by winning a special FUT anniversary tournament too.

Free FUT packs

Given the amount of cash that players spend on the FUT system, it’s nice to see EA giving away some more freebies – nobody can complain about that.

One thing to remember though – these free FIFA 15 packs are untradeable, meaning that you can’t sell them on again for coins if you get a rare player.

While this is frustrating if you pull out a Messi or Ronaldo, it’s due to exploiters that EA has enforced this so that spammers with multiple accounts cannot resell vast amounts of free pack players for profit.

What do think about this free packages? Are there actually any UK players out there who are appreciative of EA’s efforts?

Football news: Barça triumph in El Clasico

UTfifa15coins – Barcelona beats Real Madrid moving four points clear of their rivals at the top of the Spanish La Liga standings, because Luis Suarez’s stunning second-half strike, which really amazed all the football fans.

The Uruguayan brought down Dani Alves’ long ball to produce a sweet finish past Iker Casillas on 55 minutes, restoring Barça’s lead after Cristiano Ronaldo had cancelled out Jeremy Mathieu’s opener in the first half. Madrid now have ten matches to recover their four-point deficit with Luis Enrique’s side at the top, but they have a superior head-to-head record as they beat Barça 3-1 at the Bernabeu earlier in the season.

Barça triumph in El Clasico

Elsewhere, Cordoba picked up three red cards as La Liga’s bottom side slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Real Sociedad. Aleksandar Pantic was dismissed after just six minutes but the visitors still managed to take the lead as Florin Andone put them in front.

Imanol Agirretxe’s equaliser meant David Moyes’ side were level at the break and they moved in front when Gonzalo Castro scored with just 15 minutes remaining. Inigo Lopez was shown a second yellow card before Alfred Finnbogason wrapped up the win in injury time, with Daniel Pinillos sent off in the closing moments of the contest.

Sevilla made it two wins in four days over Villarreal as they won 2-0 at El Madrigal. Unai Emery’s side moved four points behind fourth-placed Atletico Madrid and six clear of Villarreal in sixth courtesy of second-half strikes from Coke and Vitolo.

In the other game, Deportivo La Coruna are one point above the relegation zone after they were held to a goalless draw at home by Espanyol.

A fierce battle between Barcelona and Real Madrid

This Sunday evening, there will be an exciting football match on FIFA 15 held by EA Sports , where you usually buy FIFA 15 Coins from. Barcelona will play host to arch rivals Real Madrid at the Camp Nou, which will be a bitter battle to both of them.

With just a point separating the two teams, and Madrid taking the earlier Clasico, this is a pivotal game in the La Liga title race. As we couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen we decided it was time for FIFA 15 Barcelona vs Real Madrid in order to try and figure what was going to happen.

With the news that Sergio Busquets is fit again we moved him into the defensive midfield role with Javier Mascherano playing at centre-back again alongside Gerard Pique.

The big decision was whether Ivan Rakitic stayed in the team or was replaced by Xavi. In the end it was hard to look past Rakitic given his goal against Manchester City in midweek and he got the nod. For Real Madrid they went with a midfield three of Isco, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos with Iker Casillas playing in goal.

Barcelona and Real Madrid

Barcelona started the stronger of the two sides, evidently buoyed by their victory over City and also more than aware of what a win would do for the title race. Early on Rakitic was presented with a glorious chance following a fine through ball from Luis Suarez but unlike Wednesday night he couldn’t find the finish, curling over with his left foot.

Next it was Lionel Messi’s chance to take the lead but his shot was saved by Casillas and immediately Madrid were ahead. It was a typical goal from Los Blancos as Karim Benzema robbed Dani Alves off possession and burst through, firing a sensational goal into the top corner. The goal rocked the stadium with the home fans enjoying their team’s performance up until that point.

However Barcelona responded well and they responded quickly. Messi picked up the ball just into Madrid’s half and sent a perfect chipped ball through to Suarez. The Uruguayan nodded the ball on before he cut inside Pepe and fired an unstoppable shot past Casillas. Not for the first time Gareth Bale was under pressure for his performances but he responded in the perfect way by heading Madrid back in front from a corner.

Incredibly before half-time Madrid had a third when Bale drifted over a cross from the right wing. Now we know that heading has always been a problem for Barcelona and given how easily Bale beat Gerard Pique in the air for the second goal things didn’t look good. Barcelona fans’ pessimism was justified when Cristiano Ronaldo got in on the act by powering a header home. The header was typically firm but Claudio Bravo will be disappointed that he was unable to keep it out.

Once again Messi responded well to the Madrid goal but his effort from outside the area came crashing off the bar. As Barcelona tried to get back in the game Madrid upped their own intensity with Sergio Ramos unsurprisingly picking up his customary derby booking.

After the break it was Madrid who upped the pace and Ronaldo was clearly a man on a mission. He was giving Alves a terrible night and it got worse for the Brazilian when Ronaldo sprinted past him in the opening minutes of the half. Ronaldo chopped back onto his right foot and superbly curled the ball into the far corner.

Barcelona and Real Madrid

As ever when Barcelona were on the ropes they turned to Messi and the Argentinian responded with his usual flair. Following a loose throw from Casillas Messi picked up the ball, shrugged off a pathetic challenge from Marcelo and curled the ball into the far corner. The goal seemed to galvanise Barcelona and instantly they were starting to play at their best again.

Madrid were floundering and the likes of Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema were reduced to shooting from range as their frustrations got the better of them. Things were about to get a whole lot worse for them when Barcelona scored an incredible third. Once again it was orchestrated by Messi as he chipped the ball through to Suarez but this time he lost his aerial duel with Pepe. However the ball bounced out to Rakitic and he volleyed home from a ridiculous angle.

This goal was the catalyst that the ground needed and suddenly the whole place was rocking as they urged their team on in search of the equaliser. For the remaining 20 minutes of the match Barcelona threw more and more caution to the wind as Madrid retreated deeper into their own half. Ancelotti’s side were still a threat on the counter but everything was going Barcelona’s way and everything was going through Messi.

However they couldn’t find that elusive fourth goal and as the Barcelona players trudged off Messi could hold his head high with his performance, although that was unlikely to comfort him.

Over the years El Clasico has produced some truly extraordinary games and a 4-3 would not come as a surprise.

Given the way the two teams are playing at the moment though an away win would surely be a shock to most.

FIFA World Cup qualifying: lowest-ranked team advances

UTfifa15coins – The lowest-ranked team in world soccer has made miracles again on Tuesday, they advanced to the second round of World Cup qualifying, which means the huge progress they have got.

Bhutan, a Himalayan kingdom ranked 209th by FIFA, beat Sri Lanka 2-1 at home in the second leg and advanced 3-1 on aggregate.

Chencho Gyeltshen scored both goals for Bhutan while Zohar Mohamed Zarwan scored for Sri Lanka.

Bhutan had lost all 18 matches it played from 2009 to 2014, including a 20-0 rout against Kuwait in an Asian Cup qualifying match.

In the next round, Bhutan will be placed into one of eight groups of five teams and could end up facing Asian powers like Japan, Iran or South Korea.

World Cup qualifying

India, East Timor, Cambodia and Taiwan also advanced to the second round of Asian qualifying.

The match between Pakistan and Yemen in Lahore was postponed for safety and security reasons, and FIFA said it will announce a new date and venue later.

Yemen won the first leg 3-1.

On Sunday, 15 people were killed in Lahore when suicide bombers targeted two churches in a Christian neighborhood, for which the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility. A Christian mob then burned two people to death who were suspected of being involved.

Many football fans feel angry with Lahore bombing, which has caused very bad influence to the football career in this country.

FIFA 15 was affected by PSN down

PSN was down yesterday in UK, US, causing many games can’t be played, such as FIFA 15, a video football game launched by EA Sports, where you usually buy FIFA 15 Coins from. It seems that there are more or less problems on PSN, we were talking about the last PSN down issues yesterday.

That means that those of you who are trying to play the likes of GTA Online, FIFA 15 and Destiny can’t as the PSN servers are down on March 16.

As far as we’re aware, this is not scheduled maintenance by Sony either. We have been getting the PSN error code CE 33992-6, but we have seen from early feedback that other PSN error codes are popping up too.

FIFA 15, PSN down

There has been no official response on the AskPlayStation Twitter account yet either, despite the fact that angry PSN users are constantly sending in complaints every five seconds.

Let’s hope that this isn’t the start of something bad for the remainder of Monday afternoon and evening for PS4 and PS3 gamers worldwide.

How many times is the PSN going to be down and are you happy about this? Do you think that there must be some changes on PSN?
